Written Demands, Complaints, & Investigations
Demands & Complaints for Wages: If a company owes you earnings, you can send your company a written demand job for payment of incomes by mail, email, text message, job or other electronic means. A written demand might be sent to the company at the exact same time a Labor Standards Complaint Form for unpaid wages is filed with the Division. The Labor Standards Complaint Form can be discovered on our Demands, Complaints, Responses, and Settlements web page.
Employer Responses in Investigations: Once a complete Labor Standards Complaint Form is received and reviewed, a letter explaining the nature of the complaint and the quantities alleged to be owed is sent to the company. For more details about the investigation process, please examine the Wage & Hour Claim Investigations – Employer FAQs webpage.
Investigations Launched by the Division (” Direct Investigations”): The Division might carry out employer-wide direct investigations of potential infractions of Colorado wage and job hour law. If you want to submit a suggestion, please email the Division at cdle_di_tips@state.co.us. If you would like to file an individual claim for overdue earnings, you should submit a Labor Standards Complaint Form on our Demands, Complaints, Responses, and Settlements website. To appeal a direct examination citation or several Notices of Assessment, an alleged employer may send a Direct Investigation Appeal Form.
